Code of Honor the French Foreign Legion

For almost two hundred years now, the French Foreign Legion has attracted adventurers from all over the world. One of them is Claude Boulet, a 26 year-old Parisian, brought up in harmony with tough street rules. The Legion was where he found his place, and it led him straight to the hellish African savanna. The risk of nuclear attack has forced the international community to intervene immediately. France has reacted the fastest by transferring the elite 13th half-brigade from Djibouti to Ivory Coast.
Based on tests of character he has been appointed to lead the most difficult operation of the war. Never, in his darkest dreams, did Claude expect the trouble he found himself in. From now on he will always associate Cote d'Ivoire with the war path he had to tread in the defense of freedom and democracy.

Company of Heroes

Company of Heroes is a visually stunning real-time strategy game that depicts all the violent chaos of World War II with uncommon intensity. Set during the invasion of Normandy toward the end of the war, Company of Heroes takes its cues from Saving Private Ryan, by portraying both the sheer brutality of the war as well as the humanity of its combatants. Many other recent WWII games have also drawn influence from Steven Spielberg's landmark film, but Company of Heroes is even more graphic. This and the game's highly authentic-looking presentation are its distinguishing features, and it boasts some frantic, well-designed strategic and tactical combat to match. Croc 2

Originally released for the PlayStation, Croc 2 is the sequel to a generally forgettable 3D platform game from 1997. As could be expected, the developers at Argonaut have improved virtually every aspect of the original Croc for the sequel: The levels are larger, many new subgames have been included, and the visuals are more complex and colorful. Unfortunately, as was the case when the original Croc was released, similar games such as Spyro the Dragon 2 and Rayman 2 have already set the current standard for excellence in the genre. And in comparison with those games, Croc 2 is a competently executed but uninspired also-ran.

Carmageddon TDR 2000

Love it or hate it, the Carmageddon series has always been about hitting innocent pedestrians with a car. Since first climbing out of a boiling prehistoric puddle to test out its new lungs, humankind has dreamed of plowing over others with monster trucks. It's a sick fantasy that doesn't really need a whole lot of explanation; therefore, it hasn't been saddled with a whole lot of unnecessary plot in the previous Carmageddons. However, perhaps in an attempt to broaden the series' horizons, the developers of Carmageddon 3: TDR 2000 have injected some story and adventure elements into this third installment. And to be quite honest, these new elements are simply a tedious distraction from why you're likely playing the game in the first place: running people - and sometimes animals - over with an alligator-finned Frankenstein car.

Championship Manager 2001 2002

Championship Manager: Season 01/02 is a football management computer game in the Sports Interactive’s Championship Manager series. It was released in October 2001 exclusively for PC and for Mac in November 2001. Although never particularly expanding on the graphical side, Sports Interactive included many new features along with the usual updated database. Championship Manager 01/02 implemented the new EU regulated transfer system, introduced in September 2001, and also featured a new attribute masking mode, whereby the player could only see information about footballers he/she would realistically know about (also known as a fog of war). Other new additions included the ability to send players away for surgery, player notes, player comparisons, and improved media and board interaction.

Chaser

Some games are too clever by half. Today's technology allows game designers so much leeway for creativity that they sometimes get caught up in adding bells and whistles to a game without ever creating a core of fun gameplay first. With the near-future shooter Chaser, Slovakian developer Cauldron has made a game that might not be the flashiest out there, but is one with a whole lot of heart. It doesn't break much new ground, and it's not as polished as it should be, but it offers loads of thrilling, old-school shooter action.
